Druk Path Trek

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Paro to Shana (2,800m)
Drive from Paro to the trek starting point at Drukgyel Dzong. Trek through picturesque rice terraces and pine forests along the Paro Chhu river. Overnight camp at Shana.
Shana to Thangthangkha (3,610m)
Ascend through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine. Cross several suspension bridges and enjoy cascading waterfalls. The trail opens to alpine meadows with stunning mountain views.
Thangthangkha to Jangothang (4,090m)
A challenging but rewarding day as you climb to the base of Mount Jomolhari. Pass yak herder camps and pristine alpine lakes. The views of Jomolhari's north face at sunset are unforgettable.
Jangothang Acclimatization Day
A rest day with optional hikes to nearby lakes and viewpoints. Explore the valley, visit local yak herder settlements, and soak in the majestic Himalayan panorama surrounding you.
Jangothang to Thimphu via Bhonte La Pass
Trek over the Bhonte La Pass at 4,200m with spectacular views of the entire Himalayan range. Descend through alpine meadows and forests to the road head, then drive to Thimphu.
Thimphu Exploration & Farewell
Morning visit to Tashichho Dzong and Buddha Point. Afternoon free to explore Thimphu's craft markets and cafes. Farewell dinner celebrating your trekking achievement.
